Changes & cancellations
We’re always happy to reschedule your appointment at no extra cost. If you need to cancel, please give us at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations made within 24 hours of your scheduled time may incur a $65 cancellation fee (at our discretion). For all quoted or estimated jobs, a 50% deposit is required upfront before work begins.
Leaving the site
Our technicians treat your home or business like our own:
- We will ensure the site is safe.
- Any doors or windows opened during work will be secured.
- Project-related mess will be cleaned up unless you request otherwise.
We carry a reasonable stock of commonly used items in our vans. However, if additional materials are needed, our technicians may need to leave the site to collect them — travel time will be included in our charges.
Progress invoices on larger projects
For larger projects, progress invoices may be issued to cover labour and materials as work advances:
- These are typically sent at the end of each stage.
- We may also issue progress invoices if there is a delay in the project.
Unpaid accounts
If you are experiencing financial hardship, please contact us immediately to discuss a payment plan.
- Accounts outstanding more than 7 days past the due date may incur a $65 + GST fee.
- Unpaid accounts may be referred to debt collection, with all associated costs added to your account.
- Interest may be charged on accounts overdue by more than 30 days.
Materials & parts
Cable, faceplates, RJ45 patch leads, fiber pigtails and other consumables are charged at our standard supply rates. We’ll always tell you upfront if a job needs specialty parts (cabinet fans, managed switches, fiber tray, etc.) and we’ll get your approval before ordering.
Payment methods
We accept bank transfer and credit card. Invoices are due on the 20th of the month following the work, unless otherwise agreed. Tradie discount is available for verified Kiwi tradespeople — just ask.

Do you charge a call-out fee?
Yes — $65 for a standard visit. The call-out fee is waived when the job goes ahead, so for almost every booking you only pay our hourly rate. The fee covers our drive time and diagnostics if you choose not to proceed.
Is the hourly rate the same for residential and commercial jobs?
Yes — $75/hr standard or $110/hr for same-day/after-hours, regardless of whether it’s a home, an office fit-out, a retail relocation or a commercial CCTV install. Bigger projects (50+ outlets, fiber backbone, multi-site) are quoted as a fixed price after a free site visit.
What counts as “same-day” or “after-hours”?
Same-day = booked and on-site the same calendar day you call. After-hours = anything outside Mon–Fri 7:30am–5:00pm, including evenings, weekends and public holidays. Both are billed at the $110/hr rate.
Do you charge for travel?
For jobs inside a 40 km radius of central Auckland, travel is included. Outside that, we charge $0.90/km or chargeable travel time at the standard hourly rate. We’ll tell you the expected travel charge before we leave the depot.
How much does it cost to install a network point or data outlet?
A typical Cat6 outlet runs $120–$220 supplied & installed depending on cable length, ceiling/wall access and termination at the patch panel. We can give you a fixed price the moment we see the site — the free quote takes 15 minutes.
How much does fiber termination & testing cost?
Single-mode and multi-mode fusion splices are $60–$95 per connector depending on type (LC, SC, ST). All fiber jobs include OTDR test results and a printed certification report. For backbone runs we quote a fixed price after a site walk-through.
How much does CCTV installation cost?
A typical 4–camera HD system with NVR is from $1,950 supplied & installed. 8-camera systems start around $3,200. We use Hikvision, Dahua and Uniview — brand and resolution drive the price. Pricing always includes config, mobile app setup and a handover.
How much does access control / electronic locks cost?
Single-door card-reader access starts at $1,400 supplied and installed (lock, controller, reader, exit button, power supply, basic config). Multi-door systems are quoted — we’ll factor in REX, fail-safe vs fail-secure, fire interface and remote management.
Do I have to pay a deposit?
For one-off hourly visits, no — you pay on completion. For quoted jobs (multi-day fit-outs, structured cabling projects, fiber backbones, CCTV installs over $1,500), we ask for a 50% deposit upfront so we can buy materials, with the balance due on completion.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes — 12 months on workmanship across all installs. Manufacturer warranties on the hardware (NVRs, switches, locks, cameras) sit on top of that, typically 2–5 years. If something fails inside the workmanship window, we come back and fix it on us.
Are you Site Safe / Impac pre-qualified?
Yes — we hold current Site Safe certification and Impac pre-qualification, plus $5M public liability cover. For commercial & construction sites we can supply our SSSP, JSAs and induction docs straight to your H&S inbox.
What areas do you service?
All of Auckland — Central, North Shore, West, East and South. We regularly work as far north as Orewa and as far south as Pukekohe. Outside the 40 km radius, travel is charged at $0.90/km or as a flat travel quote.
What happens if I cancel?
Reschedules are always free. Cancellations made within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment may incur a $65 cancellation fee (at our discretion). For quoted jobs with a 50% deposit, the deposit covers materials already ordered — we’ll always work with you on a fair refund if circumstances change.
Do you do free site visits?
Yes. For any job over an hour or anything you’d like quoted in writing, we’ll come out for a free site walk-through and email you a fixed-price quote within 24 hours. There’s no obligation and no call-out fee for a quote visit inside Auckland.
Are prices GST-inclusive?
All prices on this page are GST-exclusive. GST (15%) is added to your final invoice. Quoted jobs always show both the GST-exclusive line items and the GST-inclusive total so there are no surprises.
