What we do

Four ways we wire TV signal in Auckland homes

Same crew, same standards — one TV point or a whole apartment block.

Aerial install + repair

New UHF/VHF aerials, replacement after storm, realignment when signal drops.

Wall-mount TV + concealed cable

TV bracketed to studs, HDMI and coax hidden in-wall, power point moved.

MATV multi-dwelling

Master aerial + distribution for townhouses and apartment blocks.

Multi-room TV points

Add or replace TV outlets in bedrooms, kitchens, decks.

Sound familiar?

Pixelation. Dropouts. "No signal." That cable dangling down the outside of the wall.

If your TV pixelates in bad weather, drops out mid-programme, or the aerial cable runs down the outside of the wall — the TV isn't broken. The cabling is. A modern flat-panel TV shows every signal weakness that older CRT tellies hid.

A cowboy aerial installer chucks a coax down the outside wall, doesn't earth the mast, and vanishes before the first storm. We do the opposite: run every cable inside the wall or ceiling, test signal strength at every outlet with a spectrum analyser before we pack up, and stand behind it with a written 12-month warranty.

Cable dangling down the outside wall

We route in-wall or through the ceiling void. No exceptions.

Signal pixelates when it rains

Usually water in the connector or a corroded splitter. We swap and reterminate.

New TV won't tune in some channels

Old aerial is under-powered for modern UHF. Replacement + realign fixes it.

One room works, another doesn't

Splitter loss adds up. We measure the drop at each outlet and rebalance.

Scope

What we wire in a TV signal + coaxial job

Six lanes of work. Pick one or all six — the survey tells us which.

New TV aerial install (UHF/VHF)

Mast bracketed to fascia or roof, cable routed in-wall to the outlet.

Weatherproofed + earthed to code

Aerial repair + realign

Storm damage, dish drift, signal-strength issues — we diagnose, repair or replace.

Same-day emergency callout available

MATV multi-dwelling systems

Master aerial + amplifier + distribution head-end feeding every unit in a townhouse or apartment block.

Townhouse to 20-unit block

Sky dish install + relocate

New Sky dish install, or move an existing dish when you re-side / re-roof.

Sky-approved bracket + alignment

Multi-room TV points (coax to every room)

Add TV outlets in bedrooms, kitchens, outdoor decks, sleepout — one splitter run properly.

Balanced loss at every drop

TV socket + power relocation

Move the coax outlet + power point behind a wall-mounted TV so no cord shows.

Licensed mains work included
Wall-mount TV

Wall-mount TV installation in Auckland — with the coax and power hidden too

Most 'TV mount only' installers leave you with an HDMI dangling and a power cord down the wall. We do the whole thing.

TV bracketed to a stud

Fixed low-profile, tilt, or full-motion mount rated for your TV's weight and VESA pattern. We supply the bracket or fit yours.

HDMI + coax in-wall

Both cables run inside the wall cavity from behind the TV to your AV rack / aerial point. No trunking, no dangling.

Power point relocated

Licensed electrician moves the power outlet behind the TV so the plug is invisible when the TV is mounted.

Client feedback

What Auckland TV clients say

"The old installer wanted to trunk the HDMI down the outside of the wall. These guys went through the wall cavity, moved the power point behind the TV — you honestly can't see a single cable."

Questions

TV aerial + coaxial cabling FAQ

Do I need to replace my aerial or just the cable?
Usually one or the other, not both. Older aerials (10+ years) lose gain and struggle with modern UHF — replacement helps. Newer aerials with pixelation are almost always a cable / connector issue. We test both at the survey and tell you which.
Can you install Sky as well as Freeview on the same aerial?
No — Sky is satellite (needs a dish), Freeview is terrestrial (needs a UHF aerial). But you can have both on the same wall and both feeding the same TV. Cabling for both is what we do.
Can you hide the cable inside the wall?
Almost always, yes. Auckland homes usually give us a ceiling void, wall cavity or subfloor to work with. Where a wall is solid we tell you at the survey and agree the route — small access cut + make-good, or slim colour-matched trunking as a last resort.
How much does wall-mount TV installation cost in Auckland?
Wall-mount TV including the coax run behind it starts at $180 for a standard-size flat panel on a stud wall. Larger TVs (75"+), tilt/motion brackets, brick walls, or power-point relocation add to that. Exact number in writing after the survey.
Do you supply the wall-mount bracket or do I buy it?
Both work. We usually supply because we know which brackets are rated for common TV sizes and stud-wall types, but if you've already bought one we'll happily fit yours.
How much does a whole-house TV wire-up cost?
Typical 4-outlet retrofit starts at $480. Whole-house pre-wire during construction is cheaper (~$120 per outlet). MATV for townhouses/apartments from $1,800. Exact number after the site survey.
Do you work on apartments / townhouses (MATV)?
Yes — that's what MATV (Master Antenna TV) is. One aerial + amplifier + distribution head-end feeding every unit. Body corporates like it because there's one point of maintenance instead of a dish on every balcony.
Storm knocked our aerial off — how quickly can you get to it?
Same-day where possible for genuine no-signal storm damage. Weekend/after-hours available. Call 0800 222 546.
Do you supply the aerial or do I buy it?
We supply. Aerial choice depends on your address's signal strength and transmitter direction — we bring the right one based on the survey rather than fitting whatever you happened to buy.
What's the workmanship warranty on coaxial work?
12 months on all coaxial and aerial work. This is different from our 3-year warranty on structured cabling, fibre, security and smart-home work — coaxial is a shorter-life service by industry standard. Any signal issue in the warranty period, we come back and fix it free.

Frequently asked questions

Find answers to common questions about our Auckland cabling services, pricing and process. Can't find what you're after? Call us on 0800 222 546.

How much does network cabling cost?

Pricing depends on the number of data points, cable type (Cat6 / Cat6a / fibre) and building complexity. We provide free site surveys and upfront fixed-price quotes — no hidden costs. Most extra Cat6 outlets start from $120 +GST. Call 0800 222 546 to book yours.

Do you charge for site surveys and quotes?

No — site surveys and quotes are free. Book online or call 0800 222 546 and one of our team will come to you, assess the job, and give you a clear fixed price before any work begins.

How long does a typical install take?

A standard residential or small-office install is usually completed in a single day — often same-day. Larger commercial or enterprise projects are planned with a clear timeline given before work begins, so you always know what to expect.

Are your technicians certified and licensed?

Yes. All installs are completed to TIA/EIA and AS/NZS 3080 standards, and any associated electrical work is carried out by licensed electricians. We are fully insured with $5M public liability cover.

What areas of Auckland do you service?

We service all of Auckland — Central, North Shore, West, East and South Auckland — plus the North including Orewa, Silverdale, Warkworth, Snells Beach and Mangawhai.

Do you provide a warranty on your work?

Yes. Every cabling install is tested, documented and backed by our 3-year workmanship warranty. If anything isn't right after your install, we'll come back and fix it.

Cat6 vs Cat6a — which cable should I choose?

For most homes and small offices, Cat6 is more than enough — it handles gigabit speeds easily and is more affordable. Cat6a suits businesses running heavy data, future-proofing for 10-gigabit networks, or longer cable runs. We'll recommend the right cable during your free site survey.

How much does CCTV installation cost in Auckland?

CCTV pricing depends on the number of cameras, indoor vs outdoor placement, recording method (NVR vs cloud) and cabling required. Most residential installs sit in the $1,500–$3,500 range, with commercial systems quoted on-site. Book a free survey on 0800 222 546.

Can you install fibre optic cabling for my business?

Yes — we install indoor and outdoor fibre including OS2 single-mode and OM3/OM4 multi-mode for backbone runs, server rooms and inter-building links across Auckland. All terminations are tested and certified to AS/NZS standards.

Do you provide after-hours or emergency callouts?

Yes. Real people answer Mon–Sun, and we offer emergency callouts for downed networks, broken cabling, camera failures and business-critical outages. Call 0800 222 546 anytime.

Can you add data points to an existing home or office?

Absolutely — adding data points to existing buildings is one of our most common jobs. We minimise wall damage, label every cable and tidy patch panels so future changes are easy. Most retrofits are completed in a single visit.
