How long does a typical CCTV install take?
4-camera home install: 4-6 hours. 8-camera office: one full day. We almost always finish in one visit so your cameras are live by the time we leave.
Will the cameras work if my internet is down?
Yes — recording to the local NVR works regardless of internet. Only the smartphone live-view requires internet. Battery backup on the NVR keeps recording running through power cuts.
Can I view the footage from anywhere?
Yes, via the manufacturer’s app (Hik-Connect, Dahua DSS, Uniview EZView). Live and recorded footage available from your phone anywhere with internet.
What about Hikvision/Dahua government bans?
Australian and US federal government procurement has restrictions on these brands; NZ residential and commercial use is unaffected. If compliance matters for your specific industry, we install Uniview or Axis as alternatives.
Will install damage my walls?
Almost never. Cables run through ceiling cavities. Small drill holes are patched and filled before we leave. We’ve done 90+ installs without a single complaint about mess.
