Travel & zones

Simple, zoned travel — no surprise mileage

We work a zone system across Auckland and run a lot of jobs each month, so we can usually have a technician finishing up close to you — keeping travel charges down.

Inside a 40 km radius of central Auckland, travel is included. Outside that, we charge $0.90/km or chargeable travel time at the standard rate — and we'll tell you the expected charge before we leave the depot.

We carry common materials in every van. If a job needs specialty parts, we'll get your approval before ordering.

How we charge

The same policies whether you're a homeowner, a building manager or a tenant fit-out. Tap any row to expand.

We're always happy to reschedule your appointment at no extra cost. If you need to cancel, please give us at least 24 hours' notice. Cancellations made within 24 hours of your scheduled time may incur a $65 cancellation fee (at our discretion). For all quoted or estimated jobs, a 50% deposit is required upfront before work begins.
Our technicians treat your home or business like our own:
  • We ensure the site is left safe.
  • Any doors or windows opened during work are secured.
  • Project-related mess is cleaned up unless you ask otherwise.
We carry a reasonable stock of common items in our vans. If extra materials are needed, a technician may need to leave site to collect them — travel time is included in our charges.
For larger projects, progress invoices may be issued to cover labour and materials as work advances:
  • Typically sent at the end of each stage.
  • May also be issued if there's a delay in the project.
Cable, faceplates, RJ45 patch leads, fibre pigtails and other consumables are charged at our standard supply rates. We'll always tell you upfront if a job needs specialty parts (cabinet fans, managed switches, fibre tray, etc.) and get your approval before ordering.
We accept bank transfer and credit card. Invoices are due on the 20th of the month following the work, unless otherwise agreed. A tradie discount is available for verified Kiwi tradespeople — just ask.
If you're experiencing financial hardship, please contact us immediately to discuss a payment plan.
  • Accounts outstanding more than 7 days past due may incur a $65 + GST fee.
  • Unpaid accounts may be referred to debt collection, with associated costs added.
  • Interest may be charged on accounts overdue by more than 30 days.

Yes — $65 for a standard visit. The call-out fee is waived when the job goes ahead, so for almost every booking you only pay our hourly rate. The fee covers our drive time and diagnostics if you choose not to proceed.
Yes — $75/hr standard or $110/hr same-day/after-hours, whether it's a home, an office fit-out, a retail relocation or a commercial CCTV install. Bigger projects (50+ outlets, fibre backbone, multi-site) are quoted as a fixed price after a free site visit.
Same-day = booked and on-site the same calendar day you call. After-hours = anything outside Mon–Fri 7:30am–5:00pm, including evenings, weekends and public holidays. Both are billed at the $110/hr rate.
A typical Cat6 outlet runs $120–$220 supplied & installed depending on cable length, ceiling/wall access and termination at the patch panel. We can give you a fixed price the moment we see the site — the free quote takes 15 minutes.
Single-mode and multi-mode fusion splices are $60–$95 per connector depending on type (LC, SC, ST). All fibre jobs include OTDR test results and a printed certification report. For backbone runs we quote a fixed price after a site walk-through.
A typical 4-camera HD system with NVR is from $1,950 supplied & installed. 8-camera systems start around $3,200. We use Hikvision, Dahua and Uniview — brand and resolution drive the price. Pricing always includes config, mobile-app setup and a handover.
Single-door card-reader access starts at $1,400 supplied and installed (lock, controller, reader, exit button, power supply, basic config). Multi-door systems are quoted — we factor in REX, fail-safe vs fail-secure, fire interface and remote management.
For jobs inside a 40 km radius of central Auckland, travel is included. Outside that, we charge $0.90/km or chargeable travel time at the standard hourly rate. We'll tell you the expected travel charge before we leave the depot.
For one-off hourly visits, no — you pay on completion. For quoted jobs (multi-day fit-outs, structured cabling, fibre backbones, CCTV installs over $1,500), we ask for a 50% deposit upfront so we can buy materials, with the balance due on completion.
Yes — 12 months on workmanship across all installs. Manufacturer warranties on the hardware (NVRs, switches, locks, cameras) sit on top of that, typically 2–5 years. If something fails inside the workmanship window, we come back and fix it on us.
Yes — we hold current Site Safe certification and Impac pre-qualification, plus $5M public liability cover. For commercial & construction sites we can supply our SSSP, JSAs and induction docs straight to your H&S inbox.
All of Auckland — Central, North Shore, West, East and South. We regularly work as far north as Orewa and as far south as Pukekohe. Outside the 40 km radius, travel is charged at $0.90/km or as a flat travel quote.

How long does a typical install take?

A standard residential or small-office install is usually completed in a single day — often same-day. Larger commercial or enterprise projects are planned with a clear timeline given before work begins, so you always know what to expect.

Are your technicians certified and licensed?

Yes. All installs are completed to TIA/EIA and AS/NZS 3080 standards, and any associated electrical work is carried out by licensed electricians. We are fully insured with $5M public liability cover.

What areas of Auckland do you service?

Do you provide a warranty on your work?

Yes. Every cabling install is tested, documented and backed by our 3-year workmanship warranty. If anything isn't right after your install, we'll come back and fix it.

Cat6 vs Cat6a — which cable should I choose?

For most homes and small offices, Cat6 is more than enough — it handles gigabit speeds easily and is more affordable. Cat6a suits businesses running heavy data, future-proofing for 10-gigabit networks, or longer cable runs. We'll recommend the right cable during your free site survey.

How much does CCTV installation cost in Auckland?

CCTV pricing depends on the number of cameras, indoor vs outdoor placement, recording method (NVR vs cloud) and cabling required. Most residential installs sit in the $1,500–$3,500 range, with commercial systems quoted on-site. Book a free survey on 0800 222 546.

Can you install fibre optic cabling for my business?

Yes — we install indoor and outdoor fibre including OS2 single-mode and OM3/OM4 multi-mode for backbone runs, server rooms and inter-building links across Auckland. All terminations are tested and certified to AS/NZS standards.

Do you provide after-hours or emergency callouts?

Can you add data points to an existing home or office?

Absolutely — adding data points to existing buildings is one of our most common jobs. We minimise wall damage, label every cable and tidy patch panels so future changes are easy. Most retrofits are completed in a single visit.
