Modern new-builds
(Albany, Long Bay, Millwater, Silverdale)
Pre-wired for data but usually undersized — 2–3 points per room won’t cover a smart-home setup. Also often built with metallised insulation that blocks WiFi between zones. We add points, add mesh nodes, and speed-test room-by-room. Fast, clean jobs.
Coastal exposure matters (Milford, Torbay, Devonport, Cheltenham)
Everything within 500m of the harbour or Hauraki Gulf gets salt-air corrosion on external cameras and un-jacketed cabling. We spec marine-grade cable jacket and salt-air-rated CCTV housing as standard on coastal jobs — usually adds 40–80 NZD per external camera and 5–8% to external cable runs.
