What is CFU’s
technician-hire service?
Instead of subcontracting a full turnkey install, you hire our qualified LV, data, fibre or security technicians directly — day-rate, project-rate, or embedded on your crew for 3+ months. They arrive Site Safe, insured, with their own tools and PPE, and hand back a signed pre-start pack. You keep client control. We supply the certified hands.

Single-mode + multi-mode. Fusion splicing, OTDR testing, panel termination. Data-centre and campus backbone experience.

CCTV, access control, alarms. Panasonic, Hikvision, Dahua, Gallagher, Protege experience. Site inductions on request.

LV crew for fit-outs
Containment (tray, basket, conduit), ceiling install, wall boxes, cable managers, patching. Available as full-crew or add-on to yours.

Project crew (short-term)
1-4 week engagements. Full crew or single tech. We show up Monday, deliver against programme, invoice weekly.

Long-term embed. Techs work in your shirt, on your programme, badged as yours. Same day-rate, no agency-style markup.

Auckland and upper North Island jobs get same-day dispatch — no travel surcharge inside the Auckland region, from Warkworth in the north to Papakura in the south.
Waikato, Northland and Bay of Plenty jobs — we deploy the same certified techs and quote a km-based travel line so there are no surprises. Overnight accommodation loaded transparently for multi-day stints.
Rest of NZ — Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, Tauranga, Hamilton, Queenstown and everywhere in between — quoted with travel and accommodation loaded transparently, on site within the week for planned work. For 3+ week engagements outside Auckland, we embed a tech near-site for the duration.

Rate depends on skill mix, duration and site complexity. A Cat6 puller for a week is different pricing to an OTDR-certified fibre tech for a month. Send us the scope and we’ll quote same day — named tech with certificate expiry attached.
We don’t publish a headline rate because the honest answer would be a wide band. Day-rate for 1-4 week jobs. Project-rate for anything longer. Embedded-rate for 3+ month engagements. Zero agency markup.
