Namra Shah
Founder, Cabling For U
Namra founded Cabling For U in Auckland in 2018 and still runs the business and leads the technical side of every project. He has spent ten years delivering the physical layer of networks in some of New Zealand's most demanding environments, from family homes and offices to data centres and transport projects.
Background
Every Cabling For U job since 2018 has run through Namra, from the first site walk to the test report at handover. That is 350+ Auckland jobs across homes, offices, warehouses, medical centres, schools and apartment buildings.
Through 369 Infrastructure, the same team's commercial and critical-environment arm, he has delivered cabling, control and communication systems on the City Rail Link Karangahape Road Station (under Ventia), live data centre integration at Datacentre220 (under DataGuard), a commissioning programme for Honeywell, and a national IoT rollout for Adroit. The discipline those sites demand, audit-grade testing, labelling and documentation, is the standard he applies to a single Cat6 outlet in a Mt Eden villa.
His approach is the one the whole team works to: plan the routes before anyone pulls cable, keep data away from power to the AS/NZS 3000 separation rules, Fluke-test every outlet, label both ends, and leave the customer with documentation they can hand to the next contractor.
He writes the guides on this site from that experience. Prices quoted in them are the published Cabling For U rate card, and job examples come from real Cabling For U work, with no customer names.
