Sound familiar?

Three contractors, three phone numbers, no record of what's where.

Alarm company for the alarms. Electrician for the cameras. Locksmith for the doors. A spreadsheet from the last person in the job. Then a tenant moves out and nobody is sure who still has a fob, or an insurer asks what's covering the loading bay and you're ringing three people to find out.

That's not a security problem. It's a portfolio problem — and it's the one we're set up to fix.

The Portfolio Security Plan

How we take security off your plate, site by site

Step 01

Walk every site

A technician on the ground at each address — not a quote off a floor plan. We audit the existing cabling first; if it can carry the new system, we say so.

Step 02

One register

Every camera, reader, panel and recorder, per site: what it is, where it is, who supports it, when it was last checked. Yours to keep.

Step 03

Fix the gaps

Fixed written quote per site within 24 hours of the walk. Installed around your tenants' hours — nights and weekends where it's needed.

Step 04

Keep it maintained

The Security Care Plan (below) so cameras stay clean and aimed, recorders stay healthy, and credentials match who actually works there.

Step 05

One number

0800 222 546, Monday to Sunday, for every site on the register.

Ongoing

What a Security Care Plan covers

A camera that hasn't been cleaned or re-aimed in two years is a camera you'll find out about after the incident. The Care Plan is a scheduled visit per site, with a report you can forward.

Each scheduled visitKept on your register
Camera lens clean and field-of-view check against the agreed viewPer-site asset list with model, location, install date
Recorder health: storage, retention, time sync, firmwareLast-checked date and findings per device

Credential audit — fobs and cards vs current staff and tenantsOpen issues and what was fixed

Visit frequency and pricing are set per portfolio once we've walked the sites.

Straight answers

Why a cabling company for your security?

Because the cable is the part everyone else skips. An alarm company runs a camera lead. We run certified structured cabling — tested to AS/NZS 3080, with a warranty certificate in your name — so what we hang off it in five years still works.

PSPLA-licensed for the security side; Site Safe, SiteWise Green and Impac PreQual for the sites that ask. Twelve-month workmanship warranty on every install. And we install Gallagher, Inner Range, Paxton and Hikvision — your system, documented so anyone can service it. No lock-in.

Questions facilities managers ask

Multi-site security questions, answered

Can you take over systems another company installed?
Yes, where the hardware is supportable. We walk the site, put what's there on the register, and tell you plainly what's worth keeping and what isn't. You keep your system; you get our documentation.
Do you work with our IQP or Building Warrant of Fitness inspector?
Yes. We're not an IQP; we install and maintain, and we provide the as-built records and test reports your IQP needs for the access-control and alarm items on the BWoF.
How do you handle tenant changeover?
On the Care Plan, a credential audit is part of every scheduled visit. Between visits, send us the change and we update the access list and the register.
Who can see the footage?
Your organisation controls recorder access; we document who holds credentials. The Privacy Act 2020 obligations for CCTV on commercial premises are covered in our CCTV privacy law guide.
What does this cost?
Each site is quoted in writing after the walk — no price lists for a portfolio, because no two sites are alike. The walk and the cabling audit are free.

Frequently asked questions

Find answers to common questions about our Auckland cabling services, pricing and process. Can't find what you're after? Call us on 0800 222 546.

How much does network cabling cost?

Pricing depends on the number of data points, cable type (Cat6 / Cat6a / fibre) and building complexity. We provide free site surveys and upfront fixed-price quotes — no hidden costs. Most extra Cat6 outlets start from $120 +GST. Call 0800 222 546 to book yours.

Do you charge for site surveys and quotes?

No — site surveys and quotes are free. Book online or call 0800 222 546 and one of our team will come to you, assess the job, and give you a clear fixed price before any work begins.

How long does a typical install take?

A standard residential or small-office install is usually completed in a single day — often same-day. Larger commercial or enterprise projects are planned with a clear timeline given before work begins, so you always know what to expect.

Are your technicians certified and licensed?

Yes. All installs are completed to TIA/EIA and AS/NZS 3080 standards, and any associated electrical work is carried out by licensed electricians. We are fully insured with $5M public liability cover.

What areas of Auckland do you service?

We service all of Auckland — Central, North Shore, West, East and South Auckland — plus the North including Orewa, Silverdale, Warkworth, Snells Beach and Mangawhai.

Do you provide a warranty on your work?

Yes. Every cabling install is tested, documented and backed by our 12-month workmanship warranty. If anything isn't right after your install, we'll come back and fix it.

Cat6 vs Cat6a — which cable should I choose?

For most homes and small offices, Cat6 is more than enough — it handles gigabit speeds easily and is more affordable. Cat6a suits businesses running heavy data, future-proofing for 10-gigabit networks, or longer cable runs. We'll recommend the right cable during your free site survey.

How much does CCTV installation cost in Auckland?

CCTV pricing depends on the number of cameras, indoor vs outdoor placement, recording method (NVR vs cloud) and cabling required. Most residential systems are a one-day install; commercial sites are quoted after a survey. Book a free survey on 0800 222 546.

Can you install fibre optic cabling for my business?

Yes — we install indoor and outdoor fibre including OS2 single-mode and OM3/OM4 multi-mode for backbone runs, server rooms and inter-building links across Auckland. All terminations are tested and certified to AS/NZS standards.

Do you provide after-hours or emergency callouts?

Yes. Real people answer Mon–Sun, and we offer emergency callouts for downed networks, broken cabling, camera failures and business-critical outages. Call 0800 222 546 anytime.

Can you add data points to an existing home or office?

Absolutely — adding data points to existing buildings is one of our most common jobs. We minimise wall damage, label every cable and tidy patch panels so future changes are easy. Most retrofits are completed in a single visit.
