Is all of this really free?
Yes. Every guide, comparison and calculator is open — no email needed. Two downloadable PDFs ask for an email address so we can send them to you, and that's the extent of it. We don't sell your details and we won't hound you.
Who writes these guides?
Our own installers and engineers, based on jobs we've done across Auckland. If a guide says a certain camera struggles in low light or a cable type isn't worth the money, that's from having installed both and seen the difference on site.
Can I use this to check someone else's quote?
That's exactly what it's for. Start with the 8-Question Quote Comparison, then read the pricing guide for your job type. If a quote is missing test results, labelling or an as-built, you'll know to ask why.
How often is it updated?
We add one new resource a week and review pricing guides quarterly. Every guide carries a published or last-updated date so you can see how current it is.
