Questions we get asked
Why is there a red light on my fibre box?
A red light on the fibre box (ONT) usually means it isn't receiving a signal from the street. Check that the fibre cable hasn't been bent or pulled out. If it's still red, it's normally a fault on the line, which your provider and Chorus have to fix. We can confirm it and report it for you.
Do I need to call my provider first?
No. Call us first. We'll work out whether the problem is your equipment, the wiring or the line, so if you do need your provider, the call is quick.
Can you talk to my provider for me?
Yes, with your permission. We explain the fault to your provider in their terms and follow it up until it's sorted.
Do you help older customers?
Yes. We explain everything in plain English, take our time, and leave the Wi-Fi name and password where you can find it.
Do you work with all internet providers?
Yes. We set up equipment for any New Zealand provider, including Spark, One NZ, 2degrees and smaller providers, plus routers you've bought yourself.
